We are big believer in educating our employees in the lasts technology. We only work with the best suppliers and products. We have on our staff three individuals certified as concrete technologist by the National Ready Mix Concrete Association that currently hold a level four, a level three , and a level two certification. Most companies are lucky to have one concrete technologist and we have three working with our customers daily. Just to give you an idea of the value of a concrete technologist there are only 37 level four in the US and only 1200 level three and 2100 level 2. Our customer service representatives carry current ACI level 1 certifications to ensure proper controls in the field as our concrete is delivered to our customers. The Clemente Group Companies has two Professional Engineers licensed in NY, MA, and CT on staff. Our engineers evaluate our overall methods and means of production and control of our concrete products. Having on staff engineers also offers a great deal to our customers in dealing with design issues as well as an advocate to work with structural engineers. Our engineers have worked out a great many issues that have risen out of concrete design application over the years.
The Clemente Group Companies philosophy is to use only independent Testing laboratories with CCRL certifications to verify our concrete mix designs and certify our aggregates and strengths. A great many companies do in-house testing for submission to project structural engineer and we feel this does not comply with the universal building codes or ACI guidelines requirements for independent testing. It may save ready mix concrete companies money on their testing cost, but it also offers a conflict interest that put a contractor and designing structural engineers at risk. |
